A monitoring inspection was conducted on 05/01/22 at the site where children 16 school-age children were in care with three staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Children were observed playing in the gym, having a bathroom break, playing games, and being signed out by their guardians. A total of five child records and five staff records were reviewed on 05/27/2022 at the main office.
The inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-2 Description: Based on record review and interview, the center failed to get the required fingerprints check before the hire date.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1 was hired 01/16/2022 and the fingerprints were completed 04/25/22.Plan of Correction: The human resources department and the Dreams program will coordinate transfer dates of Dreams staff after completing the required background checks.
