Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: Based on observation and interview, the center did not ensure that areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
Evidence:
1. There are three plastic picnic tables on the center's playground that have cracks and broken sharp edges on the seats and tabletops, creating a pinching hazard.
2. Staff 1 confirmed that the picnic tables on the playground are not in a safe and operable condition.Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: The cracked areas on the picnic tables will be covered with tape until new tables can be ordered.
