The LI and covering director discussed the health inspection.
- Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspector conducted with the AM supervisor and a covering director. beginning at 1:35 PM and ending at 3:58 PM. There were 56 children, ages 2 months through 9 years old, in the care of 8 staff. The children were observed during their resting period; the younger children were napping or laying quietly on cots. The older children were observed painting and working on father?s day projects. Five children?s records and five staff records were reviewed and in compliance. Five medications were reviewed and in compliance. The most recent emergency evacuation drill was documented as April 14, 2022. The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented as April 14, 2022. The most recent lockdown drill was documented as April 15, 2022. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery-operated radio were observed and in compliance. The most recent health inspection was dated 5/31/2022.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-80-A Description: Based on a review of documentation, the center did not maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs. Evidence: In the 2?s classroom there were 15 children signed in and 16 children present. In the Prepper?s classroom there were 19 children signed in and 18 children physically present. Plan of Correction: The attendance sheet was updated during the inspection. The AM supervisor reminded staff that the attendance sheet needs to be updated as children arrive and leave the room.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-260-A Description: Based on a review of documentation, the center did not obtain annual approval by the authority having jurisdiction that each building meets building and fire codes. Evidence: The director stated that the most recent fire inspection was conducted in 2020 but documentation was unable to be located during the inspection. Plan of Correction: The covering director stated that the Fire Marshal's Office has been contacted and a fire inspection has been scheduled.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-D Description: Based on a review of documentation, the center did not implement a monthly practice evacuation drill. Evidence: The most recent April 14, 2022. There was no documentation of a practice evacuation drill for May 2022. Plan of Correction: A monthly emergency evacuation practice drill will be conducted before the end of the month and documented.
