Arlington County Supervision guidelines do not allow for a child 8 years old and younger to be left unsupervised. Children that age must be signed out by a parent. The program would need to apply for an Allowable Variance (AV) to allow older children to leave the site without a parent or guardian. Information on how to apply for the AV will be shared with the program.

An announced initial inspection was conducted today. The program currently has no children in care and will operate during the school year offering tutoring and other activities for 8-12 year old children. Reviewed record and qualifications for Lead Teacher, physical space, emergency preparation and program policies and procedures. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued. Feel free to contact me if you need any assistance.
