Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between the hours of 10:45am-12:40 pm. There were a total of 29 children with six supervising staff members present. Children were observed during lunch, engaged in group activities and outdoor play time. A selection of staff and children records, medications and other documents were reviewed. The physical space, emergency supplies, evacuation drills, attendance records, and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-G
Description: Based on record review, the center did not maintain documentation of the emergency drills.
Evidence:
1. Staff #4 stated that an emergency drill was conducted in May 2022. The drill was not documented on the drill log.

Plan of Correction: The emergency evacuation drill was conducted for the month of May, but was not documented in the emergency drill log. The drills will be documented in the log after the drill has taken place.
