Comments:
A monitoring inspection was conducted on July 13, 2022. There were 60 children present with 14 staff supervising, The physical plant, children's records, staff records, menus, attendance logs, evacuation logs, training logs, outside play area and the first aid kits were reviewed. The children were observed hand washing and eating lunch. Lunch consisted of spaghetti, salad, cheese and fruit. Areas of non-compliance were cited on the violation notice. Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides and pesticides shall be kept in a lock place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence:
Cleaning supplies were kept in an unlocked cabinet when the kitchen door was unlocked and open.

Plan of Correction: Corrected while inspector was on site.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-540-C
Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that the first aid kit contained all required supplies.

Evidence:
The first aid kit was missing a triangular bandage.

Plan of Correction: I will purchase required triangular bandage.
