Technical Assistance:
Recommended that the center review Virginia DOE Model Forms when updating registration forms. Discussed using a tracking sheet to track staff training hours.

Comments:
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 7/19/2022. There were a total of 47 children with 13 staff members present. Children were observed digging in the mud, playing water games, and engaged in organized activities in outdoor classrooms. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Description: Nonprescription drugs were kept beyond expiration date of product.

Evidence: Benadryl for Child #1 expired 6/2022.

Plan of Correction: Staff will return expired medication to parents and request new medication.
