Comments:
A complaint inspection was conducted on August 9, 2022. There were twenty-five children present with four staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Description: Based on observation and interview, facility did not ensure when authorization expires for a medication, it is returned to parent or discarded if not picked up in 14 days.

Evidence: A allergy medication was observed in the infant room cabinet. Staff reported the child had not been in the program for at least a year.

Plan of Correction: Medication will be discarded today.

Description: Based on observation, facility did not ensure infant bottles are labeled with the child's name and date.

Evidence: In the infant room refrigerator, four bottles were labeled with the child's name but did not have a date.

Plan of Correction: Staff will add dates on tape daily.
