An unannounced health and safety inspection was conducted Wednesday, August 17, 2022 to determine the center's compliance with subsidy standards. The inspector arrived at 10:30 AM and concluded the inspection at 12:55 PM. Today, there were 19 children in attendance with 4 staff supervising. During the inspection, children were playing outside, taking a water break, participating in music and movement, and playing with various materials. Children's equipment, learning materials, indoor and outdoor space, restrooms, and kitchen were reviewed. Medication is administered, and medication authorization forms were reviewed. Four children's records and three staff records, first aid kit, fire drills, and shelter in place drill logs, daily attendance and all required postings were reviewed.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
