Discussed the benefit of consolidating information to parents to one document to ensure that parents acknowledge all required information.
Discussed enhancing and updating the toys, equipment and supplies located on the playgrounds and the Beginner's Classroom.
Resource information regarding the provider portal was given to the Center Director. All Central Registry search requests can be requested through the provider portal.

An unannounced Monitoring Inspection was conducted today. A total of 57 children with 11 staff were onsite. Children were observed transitioning to the playground. Staff were observed following center protocols at all transitions. The school aged children were observed in small groups sitting at tables and engaged in table activities such as board games, crafts and interacting with staff. Diapering and handwashing procedures were observed in the Infant Classroom. Infants who are not crawling as yet were repositioned frequently. In the older Infant Class, artwork completed by the children which included painted shapes was drying. A total of 4 children's records and 3 new staff records, medication certification and CPR/First Aid certifications were reviewed. Recordation systems have improved and were found organized and complete. Previous violations from the May inspection were reviewed and corrections were verified. Thank you for your cooperation today. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: Based on observation of the center, one area was not maintained in a safe manner.
Evidence:
Peeling paint was found on one wall corner in the Beginner's Classroom. This area was found accessible to the children in care.Plan of Correction: A work ticket will be submitted to address this needed repair.
