An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 8/24/22 from 9:15am to 10:00am with staff and at the Head Start Office with the Director from 12:05pm to 1:00pm. There were 13 children in care, ranging in age from three- to four-years-old, supervised by two staff. The children were observed finishing breakfast, reading books, having circle time, reading a book with the teacher and discussing the different parts of the book, as well as singing songs while waiting for children to use the restroom and wash hands before going outside. Four child records, two staff records, and five Board Officer/Agent records were reviewed. Both staff have current certification in CPR and First Aid, Daily Health Observation (DHO) training, and Medication Administration Training (MAT). The staff reported there are no children enrolled with medication at this time. The attendance and emergency drill log were reviewed. Breakfast served was pancakes, sausage, juice, and milk.
