Comments:
An unannounced complaint inspection was conducted on Friday, August 26, 2022, and concluded on Friday, August 26, 2022, in response to a complaint received on August 23, 2022, regarding allegations of staff-to-child ratio requirements. At the beginning of the inspection, staff to child ratios were observed: 8 to 1 in classroom #1- Preschool, 4 to 1 in classroom #2 - toddlers, and 18 to 1 in classroom #3 -preschool.
An interview with the director was completed.

The preponderance of the evidence gathered during the investigation supports the allegation; therefore, the complaint is determined to be valid. See the violation notice for more details.

The director was available for the inspection and was present at the exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the licensee.

Please complete the plan of correction and the date to be corrected for each violation listed on the violation notice and return it to the department within 5 business days from receipt. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s); 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measures.

1. The director stated, "we are out of ratio different times of the day".

Plan of Correction: "The director is working to hire more staff that are able to open in the morning to be available when ratios are met. We are also working with the families to get more concrete times for drop off so we can predict the staff needs from hour to hour."
