Technical Assistance:
Discussion that Child #1 is still within the 30 day grace period for obtaining a physical examination to be placed on file at the center. The grace period runs out on 09/29/2022.

Comments:
This monitoring inspection was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 08/31/2022, between the hours of 10 am to 12 pm. There were 22 children present, ranging from infant to preschool-age, with 5 staff supervising across 4 separate classrooms. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; medication; special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 5 children records, and 8 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined that there were (2) non-compliances with the applicable standards. These violations were documented on the Violation Notice issued to the center.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-160-C
Description: Based on review, 3 of 6 staff files indicated that TB documentation on file at the center was older than 2 years.

Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (08/31/2022), the following staff had TB documentation on file that was older than 2 years: Staff #1 (dated - 09/26/2017); Staff #4 (dated - 11/25/2019); and Staff #6 (dated - 09/07/2018).
2. The documentation for Staff #1 was previously cited during inspections conducted on: 02/19/2020, 09/30/2021, and 03/03/2022.

Plan of Correction: All applicable staff will be contacted and the TB documentation will be updated.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-260-A
Description: Based on review, the most recent annual fire inspection report on file was older than 1 year.

Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (08/31/2022), the fire inspection report on file at the CDC was dated - 04/14/2021.
2. The Center Director confirmed this date during the licensing inspection.

Plan of Correction: The Loudoun County Fire Marshal's Office will be contacted in order to schedule this annual inspection.
