An unannounced health and safety inspection was conducted on September 1, 2022 to determine the center's compliance with subsidy standards. The inspection begin at 10:20 AM and concluded at 12:50 PM. The director was present for the inspection. During the tour, the inspector observed children participating in circle time, eating a snack, playing with various materials, and playing outside. The inspector observed 7 classrooms, playgrounds, 2 buses, and restrooms. The center's first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. The required postings were inspected and found to be in compliance. Liability insurance, health inspection, and drills were all in compliance. There were five children's records and five staff records reviewed.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
