An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 09/06/2022. There were 34 children, ages 3 months-5 years, and 9 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector observed the following: free choice activities, diapering lunch and preparing for nap. A total of 5 children?s records and 4 staff records, were reviewed. The inspector discussed the following with staff: sick policies and COVID.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A Description: Based on review of five children?s records, the center failed to ensure that all were complete.
Evidence
1.Child # 4 did not have two emergency contacts that were not the child?s parents. One of the emergency contacts was the father.Plan of Correction: The director will have the parent to add a person that is not a parent to the emergency contact list.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation of the preschool classroom, the center failed to ensure that all chemicals were locked.
Evidence:
1.The chemicals in the preschool classroom were unlocked in the cabinet.Plan of Correction: During the inspection the teacher locked the cabinet and will ensure it is locked at all times.
