An unannounced complaint investigation was conducted jointly with a local agency on September 15, 2022 in response to a complaint received on September 13, 2022 of allegations of forbidden actions. Staff Interviews were conducted and records were reviewed. The preponderance of evidence does not support the allegations and the complaint has been deemed not valid. Any violations not related to the complaint but identified during the course of the investigation can be found on the violation notice. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-210-A-2 Complaint related: No Description: Based on review of staff records, the center did not ensure staff assigned as program leader met program leader qualifications.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1(date of hire-5/3/2021) was in the position of program leader in the Nature Center (3 year old) classroom. Staff #1 did not did not have a bachelor's degree in a child related field such as, but not limited to, elementary education, nursing, or recreation, from a college or university.Plan of Correction: Management will place a staff member that meets the qualifications of a program leader in the Nature Center classroom.
