A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on 9/20/22 and concluded on same. There were 12 children present with 7 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-B Description: Based on a review of records, one staff record does not contain documentation of completing the required Virginia Preservice training course.
Evidence:
Staff A has not completed the required 10 hour training course within 90 days of the facility becoming a Subsidy program. The program was approved for subsidy in February 2022. The course should have been completed by all staff by the end of May 2022.Plan of Correction: I did not understand all staff needed to complete this course. All staff will complete it as soon as possible.
