An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Septemeber 20, 2022 from approximately 9:00am-10:31am. Records were reviewed remotley. There were 24 children present at this time with 5 staff members. Children were observed participating in outside activities and infant room the children were freely playing. Four staff records, four children's records and no medications were reviewed during the inspection. Licensing Inspector reviewed indoor areas, supervision, activities, equipment, medication procedures, emergency evacuation and shelter-in-place drill documentation, emergency procedures and required posting.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

detector was in the buildingins that serves preschool - age children.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: Based on observation , the licensee did not ensure areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
Evidence:
Outside on the two year old playground, there was a light blue and purple activity ride along wheel was broken, pink ride along had sharp broken edges and elephant ride along ears are broken with sharp edges.
Outside on the preschool playground, the purple and yellow steps had areas that were deteriorating and splintering. The playground composite had a broken plastic window that has sharp edges.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.

In the two year old room, there was containers of santizer wipes, cans of disinfectant spray and hand sanitizers on a shelf under the tv.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-570-A Description: Based on observation, the licensee did not ensure when a child is placed in an infant seat or high chair, the protective belt was fastened securely.
Evidence:
In the infant room, there were two children in the bucket seats with out a belt fastened and one child in high chair not fastened securley.
