A monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/26/2022. There were a total of 39 children with 7 staff members present. Children were observed during lunch time and napping. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Evidence:
The center did not have a written playground safety procedure available during the inspection.Plan of Correction: Corrected. Playground safety procedure submitted on 10/31/2022. Attached.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation, hazardous substances such as cleaning materials were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method.
Evidence:
Sanitizer and disinfectant were in an unlocked cabinet in the infant 1 classroom.Plan of Correction: Corrected immediately and moved to a locked cabinet. Reached out to have the locks in all classrooms checked and fixed if not working properly.
