Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-B Description: Based on observation and staff interview, the facility failed to clean and sanitize the diaper changing table as required after each use. Evidence: Staff used a disinfectant wipe to wipe down the diaper changing pad. A spray sanitizer was not used. After diapering, the pad should be cleaned with soap and water, sprayed with bleach water or another sanitizer, and allowed to air dry for a period of at least two minutes. Staff stated that she asked where the spray cleaner and sanitizer were located, but the wipes were readily available. Plan of Correction: Staff will be directed on diapering procedures and location of diapering supplies prior to being tasked with diapering.
