A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on February 6, 2023 and concluded on February 6, 2023. There were 48 children present, ranging in ages from 12 months to age 5, with 5 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-D-1 Description: Based on record review and staff interview, the vendor did not ensure staff who work directly with children shall have obtained within 90 days of the date of hire a current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care. The training shall include an in- person competency demonstration.
Evidence: The record for Staff #6 (date of hire 5-12-2022) did not contain current certification in CPR. Staff #7 confirmed that staff #6 was not certified.Plan of Correction: The staff member mentioned will take her CPR 3-14-2023
