Technical Assistance:
Discussed the use of a crib for the child who is under a year, the vendor has a crib but it is not currently set up for use. The 10 month old sleeps in a bouncer when he is in care. Discussed this with the vendor and she will set up the crib so he can sleep there.

The vendor has taken the three hour training required by subsidy.

Comments:
The vendor and a friend are present with three children in care during this SHSI annual inspection. The children are busy playing and building with blocks. Observed the children having gold fish crackers for a snack and the vendor will serve fish and rice for lunch. Lots of interaction between the children and the vendor. The vendor takes the children outside to play when weather permits. This inspection was started at 11:00 and ended at 12:05. Please call me at 703-203-8659 if you have any questions regarding this inspection.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-390-A
Description: Based on the review of the emergency supplies it was determined that the vendor is missing one of the items to make the emergency supplies complete.
Evidence: Based on the review of the first aid kit and interview with the vendor it was determined that the vendor is missing a digital thermometer.

Plan of Correction: I will buy a thermometer this weekend
