22VAC40-665 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on June 15, 2020. The Vendor was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children present but Vendor was present. The SHSI inspection covered subsidy health and safety regulations. The Inspector was able to review records, see entire home, area for the children, and review posted documents.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with subsidy regulations, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility or the program.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-160-B Description: Based on record review and interview, it was determined the vendor did not maintain a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.
Evidence:
1. Vendor stated she has machine that logs the attendance but has not been keeping a written record to note days children are present and in care.Plan of Correction: I will keep a written record of actual days and times children are in my care.
