Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was provided on use of forms required for all children in care, organization of emergency preparedness supplies and what to expect when inspectors visit on site for annual Subsidy health and safety inspections.

Comments:
This announced initial subsidy inspection was conducted by the inspector using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency declared by the Governor of Virginia in response to the COVID 19 pandemic.

Preliminary data was obtained from the vendor on 07/01/2020 and a review of the initial subsidy inspection was completed by phone.

An initial announced subsidy inspection was initiated on 07/01/2020 at which time the vendor was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection, and concluded on 07/02/2020 utilizing a video app.
The inspector spoke at length with vendor regarding subsidy regulations and how policies and procedures would be reviewed in future visits. Expectations for child's information and household member information were reviewed as well as vendor's Emergency Preparedness plan, requirements for drills and supplies. The home and areas/ activities to be used by children in care were also inspected via video app.





The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID -19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Information gathered during the inspection determined no areas of non-compliance with applicable regulations or law, and no violations were issued.
