Comments:
This annual subsidy inspection was conducted by the inspector using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency declared by the Governor of Virginia in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Preliminary data was obtained from the vendor on July 27, 2020.
-An annual subsidy inspection was initiated on July 28, 2020, at which time the vendor was contacted by video call to initiate the inspection, and concluded on July 28, 2020. The inspector emailed the vendor a list of items required to complete the inspection.
The vendor reported there were 4 children in care and 2 children living in the home under the age of 12 present with the vendor for a total of 12 points. The inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and attempted to review 2 adult/household member records submitted by the vendor to ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Information gathered during the inspection determined areas of non-compliance with applicable regulations or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the vendor. please call with questions 703-479-4679

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-180-2
Description: Based on interview and record review, it was determined the Vendor did not obtain background Checks on 2 people who moved into the home on April 1, 2020.
Evidence:
1. Vendor indicated two adult household members moved in on April 1, 2020.
2. The local agency that maintains those clearances was contacted by the inspector and verified they had moved in but the adults have not completed the paperwork.

Plan of Correction: The vendor has to submit paperwork and verification to the inspector that clearances have been submitted within 5 days of this date.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-410-A-3
Description: Based on record review, it was determined a lockdown drill was practiced at least annually.
Evidence:
1. Vendor provided the inspector with a copy of the emergency drill records for the last year and the lockdown drill was not recorded.

Plan of Correction: Inspector has sent the vendor a record so all drills can be recorded on a sheet.
