A monitoring inspection was conducted on 07/10/2024. A tour of the facility was conducted, in addition to a record review and interviews with staff. The Inspector reviewed children and staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-40-H Description: Based on a record review the center did not have public liability insurance for bodily injury for each center site with a minimum limit of at least $500,000 each occurrence.
Evidence:
The center's insurance policy had an expiration date of 08/01/2023.Plan of Correction: The center had liability insurance. The owner will have the insurance company send over the updated policy.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-260-A Description: Based on a record review, the center did not ensure there was an annual fire inspection report from the appropriate fire official having jurisdiction.
Evidence:
The center's last fire inspection report provided by the director was dated 09/13/2022.Plan of Correction: The owner thought she had a copy of the most recent inspection. She will have the director contact the Fire Marshall to schedule an inspection if she can not locate it.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-540-C Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure all required items were in the center's first aid kit.
Evidence:
The center's first aid kit did not have gauze.Plan of Correction: Gauze will be added to the first aid kit.
