An unannounced inspection was conducted on April 26, 2024 in response to a complaint received 4/24/2024. Interviews with staff were completed, observations were made in the center, and documentation was reviewed.
The preponderance of the evidence gathered during the investigation supports the allegation; therefore, the complaint is determined to be valid.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-340-A Complaint related: No Description: When staff are supervising children, they shall always ensure their care, protection, and guidance. Child 1 (age 4 years) asked to go to the bathroom. Staff told the child to wait because the class had just gone to the bathroom 15 minutes earlier. The child relieved their (self) and soiled their clothes in the classroom. Staff stated that the room would have been out of ratio if they took him to the restroom. Plan of Correction: Children will be allowed to go to the restroom when requested.
