An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on completed on 09/04/2024. The on-site inspection began at 9:50 AM and ended at 11 AM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 16 children present and 3 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 3 staff records onsite. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-240-A Description: Based on review of staff records, the center failed to ensure that all staff within 90 days of hire completed the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course.
Evidence
Staff # 1 and # 2 did not have documentation of the completed orientation training.Plan of Correction: The licensee will have the staff to complete the 10 hour training ASAP.
