An unannounced complaint inspection was conducted on 09/24/2024 in response to a complaint received by the licensing office on 09/20/2024 relating to allegations of programs and physical plant. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observations. The preponderance of evidence gathered during the investigation supports the allegation(s); therefore, the complaint is determined to be valid. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-440-B Complaint related: No Description: Cribs shall be identified for use by a specific child.
There were 2 cribs, one of which was occupied, were not identified for use by specific children.Plan of Correction: The center will order enough cribs for every baby in care and each will be identified for use by a specific child.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-440-G Complaint related: No Description: Cribs shall be used for children under 12 months of age.
There were 12 infants under the age of 12 months in care and only 6 cribs available. Staff confirmed some infants sleep in swings or other pieces of equipment instead of a crib.Plan of Correction: The center will order enough cribs for every baby in care and each will be identified for use by a specific child.
