A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the licensing inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this SHSI. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-B Description: Staff who work directly with children shall complete Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff within 90 days of employment. Staff #3 who has been employed for over a year did not have documentation of a completed 3-hour Virginia Preservice training. Plan of Correction: Training was completed and placed in file.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-D-1 Description: All staff who work directly with children shall have current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care within 90 days of employment. Staff #3 who has been working at the center for over a year did not have a completed CPR certification. Plan of Correction: CPR certification renewed on 11/27/24
