An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 12/16/2024. The on-site inspection began at 12:25 p.m. and ended at 1:45 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 48 children present and 7 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, a tour of the facility, interviews and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.011-F Description: The license and any other documents required by the Superintendent shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises.
The most recent inspection of the facility was not posted on the premises.Plan of Correction: Corrected during the inspection.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-130-E Description: The center shall obtain documentation of additional immunizations once every six months for children under the age of two years.
Child #3 (16 months) most recent immunizations are dated from when the child was 4 months old.Plan of Correction: We have requested updated immunizations from the family. We will call them today and request the document again.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A Description: Children's records shall contain all required documentation.
Child #1's record did not contain a second emergency contact.Plan of Correction: We will ask the parents to provide a second emergency contact.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-440-L Description: Pillows and filled comforters shall not be used by children under two years of age.
Three out of four toddlers observed napping in the toddler classroom were using sleep sacks that had pillows attached.Plan of Correction: We will send a notice through our app to all the families requesting for different nap supplies to be provided each week that doesn't include pillows.
