An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on January 14, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 10:00am and ended at 12:15pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 21 children present and 5 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 3 staff records on-site on January 14, 2025. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.057-A Description: The program is required to submit to VDH and implement a plan to test potable water for lead. The program did not have evidence of a testing plan submitted to VDH and/or the program did not have evidence of the implementation of the required testing plan. Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: The center called a Water Testing company during the time of the inspection and the instructions regarding lead testing from that company was provided. Once testing is completed, the center will submit their testing plan and results to VDH and DOE.
