During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. An unannounced inspection was initiated on 12/6/24 and completed on 12/6/24 in response to a complaint received by the licensing office on 7/8/24 relating to allegations of the area of staffing and supervision. This inspection included document review, a tour of the facility, interviews and observations. The preponderance of evidence gathered during the investigation supports the allegation; therefore, the complaint is determined to be valid. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and the violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-340-C Complaint related: Yes Description: During the stated hours of operation, there shall always be on the premises when one or more children are present one staff member who meets the qualifications of a program leader or program director and an immediately available staff member with direct means for communication between the two of them.
There is only one staff person in the facility daily during the hours of 7:00am and 8:00am when children are in care.Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: Staff schedules will be adjusted to ensure that there are at least 2 staff present at all times when children are in care.
