Comments:
An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 1/15/2025 and completed on 1/15/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 10:09AM and ended at 12:00PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 27 children present and 7 staff. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records on site on 1/15/2025 and 3 staff records on-site on 1/15/2025.
This inspection included - document review, tour of the facility, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-80-A
Description: For each group of children, the center shall maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs. There were 9 children present in 4-5 year old classroom, but only 8 were marked present on the attendance record. There were 5 children present in the 1 year old classroom, but only 2 were marked present on the attendance.

Plan of Correction: Provider will ensure that arrival and departure are documented daily.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B
Description: Hazardous substances must be in a locked place that prevents access by children. In the 1 year old classroom, the cleaning solution and sanitizing solution were in an unlocked cabinet. Both were within reach of children.

Plan of Correction: Provider will ensure all hazardous substances are locked using a safe locking method.
