An unannounced, on-site monitoring and focused inspection was initiated on 1/29/2025 and completed on 1/29/2025, as a part of probation and an Intensive Plan of Correction (IPOC). The Department issued a Special Order on 12/15/2023 to place the center on probation for a period of 12 months as a result of high-risk violations. The on-site inspection began at 11:00 am and ended at 1:10 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 57 children present and 10 staff. The inspector reviewed 6 children?s records and 4 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, a tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program
Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 2/6/2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-510-L Description: Medication, except for those prescriptions designated otherwise by written physician's order, including refrigerated medication and staff's personal medication, shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
A first aid kit was observed in a classroom cubby that had two packets of over the counter medication inside, that was not locked.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
