Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. Health Inspections - In collaboration with the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), the VDOE is reminding providers that the Food Establishment Health form is only used by VDH when determining compliance with food regulations. A Report of Environmental Sanitation Inspection form should be used for environmental health inspections and determining compliance with non-food related health requirements such as water supply and sewage disposal. The Report of Environmental Sanitation Inspection form can be found on the Department?s website.

Comments:

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 2/7/2025. The on-site inspection began at 11:35 am and ended at 1:35 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 31children present and 7staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 2 new staff records on-site on 2/7/2025. Five previously reviewed staff records were reviewed for any necessary updates. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations, and measurements Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #:	8VAC20-780-320-B
Description:	Restroom areas provided for children are required to have sinks located near the toilets and that are supplied with running warm water that does not exceed 120?F. The water temperature at the handwashing sink in the two-year-old classroom measured 145 degrees Fahrenheit at the time of the inspection.
Plan of Correction:	The administrator stated that they had recently had maintenance completed on their heating system which may have impacted the hot water heater settings as well. The temperature on the water heater will be adjusted this weekend and remeasured to ensure the temperature is no more than 120 Degrees Fahrenheit before the children return on Monday. Teachers will continue to assist children with hand washing to include ensuring that the water temperature is comfortable and safe for them.
