Technical Assistance:

Technical assistance provided for updates to the center's emergency preparedness plan annually and ensuring locking mechanisms are installed where children may have access.

Comments:

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on March 6, 2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 10:00 a.m. and ended at 11:00 a.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 31 children present, 6 staff, and 2 co-op parents. The inspector reviewed 7 children?s records and 4 staff/co-op records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on March 14, 2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Description:	The center is required to review and update the emergency preparedness plan. The last review and update to the emergency preparedness plan was 2/14/2022.
Plan of Correction:	Our emergency plan will be reviewed, updated, and reprinted by Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Standard #:	8VAC20-780-560-G
Description:	When food is brought from home the food container must be clearly dated and labeled in a way that identifies the owner. Two lunch containers observed in the hallway area were not dated and one was not labeled with a name.
Plan of Correction:	All parents of our preschoolers were emailed a reminder to clearly date and label all snacks and lunches. The email was sent March 7, 2025.
