An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 3/12/2025. The on-site inspection began at 11:25am and ended at 12:35am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 58 children present and 10 staff. The inspector reviewed five children?s records and five staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.011-F Description: The license and any other documents required shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises. The findings from the most recent inspection, dated 12/11/2024, were not posted in a conspicuous place on the premises. Plan of Correction: The most recent inspection was posted during the inspection.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: The center shall ensure that areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, are maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition. The first step on the outside playground unit had a rubber coating that was peeling off causing increased risk of a child tripping. Plan of Correction: The center will have the playground unit repaired.
