Licensing standards regarding medications were discussed with the director.

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on March 21, 2025 and completed on March 21, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 11:02am and ended at 1:00pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 59 children present and 9 staff. The inspector reviewed 6 children?s records and 6 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on (4/11/2025). A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-350-B-4 Description: The staff-to-children ratios for children 3-year-old up to school age eligible is 1:10 whenever children are in care. The staff in the 3- to 6-year-old classroom was supervising a group of 13 children alone. Plan of Correction: A staff member unexpectedly called out at 4:45 am and no substitutes were available to be placed int he classroom. We will move the children to other Pre K/K classrooms when we are out of ratio in the future.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-A Description: Children's hands shall be washed with soap and running water after toileting and any contact with blood, feces, or urine. Staff #1 was changing a child?s diaper in the toddler room and did not wash the child?s hands after. Plan of Correction: Diapering policies were reviewed with the staff at the end of the day.
