During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 2/28/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 9:45am and ended at 2pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 62 children present and 14 staff. The inspector reviewed 7 children?s records and 6 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five business days from today, which will be the close of business on 4/28/2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-A Description: The center is required to have employees undergo a background check every five years. The most recent central registry check for staff #2 was overdue by fewer than three weeks. Plan of Correction: Management implemented a digital tracking spreadsheet to ensure renewal background checks are completed timely ? 3/3/2025 ? Management will monitor digital spreadsheet on a monthly basis.
The employees 5year Central Registry Check was due on 1/29/2025. A renewal was requested on 2/12/2025, and the check was completed and returned on 3/27/2025
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition. The closet, in the two-year-old classroom, where the furnace is located was unlocked and accessible. Additionally, there were three paper children?s books on the floor of the closet creating a flammable environment. Additionally, in the two-year-old classroom there are two wooden cubbies that are not secured to the wall. Plan of Correction: All utility and equipment rooms will remain locked when not in use. Corrected on 2/28/25
Management and teachers will ensure all doors remain locked and check them daily upon arrival, and throughout the day.
