During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Discussed the attendance records and that teachers should be aware of the current count of children in the classrooms. Discussed placement of trashcans near the changing table. Discussed paint maintenance.

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 5/06/2025. The on-site inspection began at 9:16am and ended at 11:20am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 66 children present and 15 staff. The inspector reviewed six children?s records and six staff records on-site on 5/06/2025. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five business days from today, which will be the close of business on 5/13/2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-240-A Description: Staff are to complete the VDOE sponsored online orientation course within 90 days of hire.
Staff #2 has not yet completed this course which is overdue by 2 months.Plan of Correction: This is now complete. Going forward all staff will complete within the first 90 days.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-520-C Description: If diaper ointment or cream is used, these products do not need to be kept locked but shall be inaccessible to children.
An all over ointment was found in the children's bathroom floor in a basket in the Early Preschool Classroom.Plan of Correction: Ointment was tossed during inspection. Going forward we will ensure all lotions are locked.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-560-G Description: Repeat Violation
When food is brought from home the food container must be clearly dated
and labeled in a way that identifies the owner.
In the Early Preschool classroom, one child's pediasure drink what not labeled with the child's name and date.Plan of Correction: We provided the family with company issued labels. Teachers will make sure items are labeled at drop off.
