Technical assistance was provided and licensing standards regarding protective outlet covers were discussed and reviewed.

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on May 8, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 7:35am and ended at 8:50am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 32 children present and 3 staff. The inspector reviewed 6 children?s records and 4 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-510-G Description: Medication shall be labeled with the child's name, the name of the medication, the dosage amount, and the time or times to be given. A prescriptive emergency medication was in the center?s locked medication box with no listed name of whom the medication belonged to. Plan of Correction: The center?s plan of correction: During the time of the inspection, the medication was taken to the nurse?s office for disposal. The medication was expired and listed no name or identification to it. Director will make sure that all medications will come in its original container with the child?s name, the name of the medication, the dosage and the times to be given.
