An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was completed on 05/29/2025. The on-site inspection began at 10:52 a.m. and ended at 5:00 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 161 children present and 31 staff. The inspector reviewed 12 children?s records and 10 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 06/09/2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-160-C Description: Repeat Violation
A tuberculosis (TB) screening is required every two years from the last screening. The
screening for S1 was not completed within the required two-year period. The screening is 5 months overdue.Plan of Correction: The teacher got her TB screening completed on 6/2, since her original screening
had expired. Her renewal screening was negative.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-245-A Description: Staff shall complete a minimum of 16 hours of training annually, appropriate to the age of children in care. S1 obtained 11.5 of the 16 required hours between 12/2023 ? 12/2024. S9 obtained 6 of the 16 required hours between 04/2024 ? 04/2025. S10 obtained 6 of the 16 required hours between 06/2023 ? 06/2024. Plan of Correction: We will put a new system in place to keep better track of our teacher's hours to ensure all of the training hours they're completing that they're getting credit for.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Carwash fluid and spray glass cleaner was observed assessable to children in the vehicle used to transport the children. Plan of Correction: The carwash soap and glass cleaner was immediately removed from the
bus as soon as the licensing inspector brought it to our attention and while she was still inspecting the bus.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-320-B Description: The center shall ensure the hot water at taps available to children were maintained within a
range of 105 - 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The water temperature for the school ager room sink used by the children registered 122.6 degrees. It was tested with a digital thermometer.Plan of Correction: A plumber was called as soon as our licensing inspector brought this to our attention. He came out 5/30 to diagnose the issue. Work will be completed by the end of this week.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-F Description: Lockdown procedures shall be practiced at least annually. The last lockdown drill documented was conducted in 01/2024. Plan of Correction: We will be sure to have the drill within a year's time frame and not just once a year.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-570-A Description: When a feeding table is being used for children under 12 months, the protective belt shall be fastened securely. One infant was observed at a feeding table in the Cuddly Cabooses Room without a protective belt being securely fastened. Plan of Correction: Teachers and staff were immediately retrained on proper feeding table restraint
use.
