An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on 6/11/2025 and completed on 6/11/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 9:45am and ended at 12:07pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 53 children present and 18 staff. The inspector reviewed five children?s records and seven staff records on-site. This inspection included document review and a tour of the facility.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-4 Description: REPEAT VIOLATION:
The center is required to obtain background checks from any state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years.
Staff #2, employed for one year and ten months, did not have documentation of requesting a central registry check from one state.Plan of Correction: The center has submitted the request for the out of state central registry check for Staff #2 on 6/11/25.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-330-B Description: Where playground equipment is provided, resilient surfacing must comply with minimum safety standards for mulch underneath and surrounding equipment with moving parts or climbing apparatus that requires a resilient surface.
The resilient surfacing (wood mulch) in the fall zones beneath elevated play equipment, including the slides, climbers, and swings in the Toddler and Preschool playgrounds measured approximately two inches in depth.Plan of Correction: The center has scheduled the restoration of resilient surfacing on the playgrounds for mulch to meet minimum safety requirements.
