Comments:

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on July 14, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 12:30 p.m. and ended at 1:50 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 14 children present and 3 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 4 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on July 24, 2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard #:	8VAC20-780-260-A
Description:	The center shall have an annual fire inspection report from the appropriate fire official having jurisdiction. The fire inspection is overdue by seven weeks.
Plan of Correction:	The center contacted the local fire marshal's office on July 14, 2025, and followed up again on July 21, 2025, to schedule the inspection. As of now, we are awaiting a confirmed inspection date. In the future compliance, a reminder will be set 60 days in advance of the expiration.

Description:	The center shall obtain annual approval from the health department for meeting requirements for water supply and sewage disposal system. The center's annual environmental sanitation inspection is overdue by 11 weeks.
Plan of Correction:	The center received its annual environmental sanitation inspection on July 17, 2025. To ensure timely compliance in the future, the director has added the inspection due date to a compliance calendar. Reminders will be set 60 days in advance of the next due date to allow ample time for scheduling. The calendar will be reviewed monthly by the director to avoid future delays.

Description:	When food is brought from home the food container must be clearly dated. Two cups were not labeled with a name and three cups were not dated.
Plan of Correction:	Staff were immediately reminded of the requirement to ensure all food and drink containers from home are labeled with both the child's name and the current date. Moving forward, staff will check containers during morning drop-off to ensure they are labeled properly.
