During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. The following was discussed with the program director:
-Standard 570.H - Formula or breast milk shall not remain unrefrigerated for more than two hours;
- Cover exposed bolt under 4-way spring toy ( PS playground) and remove beginning of weed on infant outdoor playground;
-Discuss use of holiday lights with Fire Marshall.
- Return sunscreen and diaper ointment when authorization expires or no longer needed

An unannounced ,on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 07/11/2025 and completed on 07/11/2025. The on-site inspection began at 10:15 am and ended at 12:55 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 141 children present and 20 staff. The inspector reviewed 8 children's records and 7 staff records on-site on 07/11/2025.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-A Description: All applicants for employment, employees, applicants to serve as volunteers, and volunteers shall undergo a background check in accordance with subsection B every five years.
The central registry check and criminal record check for staff 1 was obtained more than five years ago.Plan of Correction: The program director stated that updated background checks will be requested today for staff 1.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A Description: Children's records shall contain all required elements.
The enrollment record for child 1 and child 2 lacked the following required information:
a. Place of employment for each parent;
b. Names of persons authorized to pick-up the child;
c. Address for emergency contacts.Plan of Correction: The program director stated that children's records will be updated today.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-90-A Description: A written agreement between the parent and the center shall be in each child's record by the first day of the child's attendance. The agreement shall be signed by the parent.
The enrollment record for child 1 and child 2 lacked a written parent agreement.Plan of Correction: The program director stated that a written parent agreement will be added to both records today.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
The cabinet containing cleaning agents was unlocked in one classroom. Disinfecting wipes was observed on the sink counter in a second classroom.Plan of Correction: All chemicals were locked up during the inspection. Staff will be remined that cabinets are to be locked and disinfecting wipes locked up.
