During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above, to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Technical Assistance:
Technical Assistance was provided and licensing standards regarding outdoor play were reviewed and discussed.

Comments:
An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on August 4,, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 10am and ended at 11:45am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 32 children present and 4 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 4 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 22.1-289.011-F
Description: The license and any other documents required by the Superintendent shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises. The most recent violation notice and inspection summary from January 13, 2025, was not posted.

Plan of Correction: The plan of correction: The center will ensure that the most recent inspection and violation notice is posted.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-D
Description: Cleaning and sanitizing materials shall not be located above food, food equipment, utensils or single-service articles and shall be stored in areas physically separate from food. A bottle of disinfectant spray was beside food being served to children during lunch.

Plan of Correction: The plan of correction: The center will ensure that cleaning products will be kept separate from food and locked away from children's access.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-330-B
Description: Where playground equipment is provided, resilient surfacing shall comply with minimum safety standards and shall be under equipment with moving parts or climbing apparatus to create a fall zone free of hazardous obstacles. The outdoor playground?s mulch was measuring approximately 2 to 3 inches in depth and the plastic lining under the mulch was exposed.

Plan of Correction: The plan of correction: Mulch is currently in ordered and will be delivered. The appropriate amount and dept of mulch will be placed on the playground.
