An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on August 19, 2025, as a part of the licensure period.The on-site inspection began at 10:05am and ended at 11:45am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 34 children present and 8 staff. The inspector reviewed five children?s records and five staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five business days from today, which will be the close of business on August 26, 2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-70 Description: Staff records shall be kept for each staff person.
The record for Staff #3 did not contain documentation to demonstrate that the individual possesses the education, certification, and experience required by the job position. Staff #3 has been employed for 11 months.Plan of Correction: We will have employee bring her documentation of education when she returns to work on 9/1/25. Moving forward, we will ensure all required documents are on file before the employee's 1st day of employment.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-240-A Description: The Virginia Department of Education sponsored orientation course shall be completed within 90 calendar days of employment.
Staff #2, employed for over 90 days, did not complete the Virginia Department of Education sponsored orientation course within 90 days of employment.Plan of Correction: We will have the employee complete her 10-hour training by 8/22/25. Moving forward, we will ensure all required trainings are completed and on file before an employee's 1st day of employment.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
In classroom #4, the rug in the library area was unraveled causing a tripping hazard.Plan of Correction: We removed the rug. We will conduct daily classroom inspections before opening each classroom.
