The Licensing Inspector discussed medication and out of state background checks.

.An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 08/25/2025 from 11:00am to 12:45pm. There were 69 chldren and 18 staff present. The inspector reviewed 5 child records and 3 staff records on-site.The inspection included document review, interviews, observations, and a tour of the facility. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business 9/5/2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-3 Description: The center must request a search of the central registry (CPS) prior to the employees first date of employment.
The record for Staff #1 contained CPS results dated more than 30 days from the date of hire. The center did not have documentation of when the search was requested.Plan of Correction: Review staff file prior to first day of employment to ensure all results are back.
Standard #: 22.1-289.036-B-2 Description: The center is required to obtain a completed criminal history background check prior to the employees first day of employment.
