During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Technical Assistance:
Effective 09/01/2021, ? 22.1-289.058 to the Code of Virginia. This bill requires all licensed child day programs and religiously exempt child day centers, certified preschools, family day system homes and certain other programs that serve preschool-age children operating in a building built before 2015 to be equipped with at least one carbon monoxide detector.

This does not apply for any building built after 2015.

Comments:
An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 089/03/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 12p.m.and ended at 2p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 33 children present and 9 staff. The inspector reviewed 6 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-B
Description: The diapering surface shall be used only for diapering or cleaning children.

The diapering surface in one classroom had a laptop and two containers of wipes on it.

Plan of Correction: Staff will be reminded that the diaper surface is used only for diapering and once sanitized will remain sanitized for the next diaper change.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-520-A
Description: REPEAT
All over-the-counter skin products shall not be kept or used beyond the expiration date of the product.

Five over the count skin products were kept beyond the expiration. Three products expired in July 2025, one in August 2025 and one in April 2025.

Plan of Correction: We will remind staff to review all ointments monthly for upcoming expirations.
